Black on Both sides was an under-rated gem. It certainly didn't get the airtime that Blackstar was getting around that time, but it did show that Mos had the ability to carry an album on his own.

Mos Def is now a star and he's been selective enough in his work to retain his credibility... this track though is from when he was still bubbling up his unique style - and I (for one) think it's still genius.
